There is a great news in store for Nokia fans who were reluctant to buy the Nokia 3310 due to the glacial speed of 2.5 G networks.
In a bid to join the fold of smart feature-phone with fast internet, HMD Global, the marketer for Nokia phones has decided to roll out the Nokia 3310, the refreshed version of the Nokia classic phone in a new avatar with a 3G connection in global markets.
With its 3G launch, Nokia is set to compete with the Reliance JioPhone and Airtel and Vodafone’s upcoming feature phones.
Apart from the 3G connection,the UI has been improved. Nokia claims that even after running with a 3G feature, the phone will have an impressive standby time of 27 days and talk time of 6.5 hours.
Availability & Price
The Nokia 3310 3G will be going on sale in Australia from October 16 onwards for AUD 89.95 (Approx Rs 4,607).
Globally the Nokia 3310 will be made available at EUR 69 (Approx Rs 5,323) sometime around mid-October.
Details of an Indian release have not been divulged by the company but it is expected that the device will be launched soon in India.
